WEALTH MANAGEMENT | INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT

Thoughtfully Crafted Portfolios

As stewards of our clients' wealth, we’re committed to always employing prudent investment management strategies that draw on a wide range of traditional and alternative investments. We start by poring through extensive market, sector, and security research from:

  • Wilshire Associates – 40+ years of institutional advisory experience with more than 300 associates worldwide and consulting on over $940 billion in assets
  • Ibbotson Associates – a Morningstar company and pioneer in the field of asset allocation modeling, risk tolerance analysis, and financial analysis software tools
  • Commonwealth Financial Network® our affiliated research team includes more than 20 dedicated and highly credentialed professionals

We leverage all of this data and capital markets insight to develop our core asset allocation models. Once the models are created, we then primarily use a combination of mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) along with domestic and international equities and fixed income securities to build out the models. For clients that meet the SEC’s definition of an “accredited investor,” we may also recommend the inclusion of select alternative investments such as private equity as well as long-short and factor-based investments to help mitigate risk and maximize risk-adjusted performance.

Our Investment Philosophy

Leverage lower-cost, tax-efficient passive investment strategies whenever markets are functioning efficiently, augmented by active management strategies to take advantage of inefficient markets. We complement the previously mentioned core strategies with alternative investments to help mitigate risk since these strategies are designed to be uncorrelated to traditional stock and bond investments.

Spotlight on Social Responsibility

More and more, clients who are interested in using their wealth to make an impact are turning to us to help them implement socially responsible investment strategies. Unlike old strategies that looked to exclude investing in “sin stocks” (often to the detriment of portfolio performance), new environmental, social and governance (ESG) screens seek to actively reward companies that demonstrate responsible leadership with investment dollars.

Our team approach to investment management and portfolio construction helps ensure that only the best ideas make it into our low-cost, transparent, and risk-appropriate allocations. And thanks to our innovative client portal, keeping track of your investment portfolio (along with all the other aspects of your financial life) is now easier than ever.
