Alison Cohen

Alison was born in Baltimore, MD, and raised in Towson, MD, as the youngest of two children. While working part-time at a clothing store in high school, she quickly developed an interest in business operations and serving customers and the community. Alison attended Towson University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

She started her career in the financial industry as a Client Service Representative in the Wealth Management division of a regional bank, where she collaborated with the bank’s Commercial Real Estate, Business Banking, and Private Banking departments. There, she built the foundation for her client service experience and provided direct support to a financial advisor and financial planner.

With time for reflection during the pandemic and a desire for personal and professional growth, Alison relocated to Austin, Texas, in the summer of 2021, where she joined an independent RIA firm. During her time there, she gained valuable experience supporting eight financial advisors, managing relationships for more than four hundred clients. Her leadership abilities quickly became evident as she trained new employees, developed onboarding and training materials, and naturally stepped into a team lead role for many of the associates. These experiences strengthened her operational knowledge and deepened her passion for delivering exceptional client service.

After five years in Austin, Alison returned to Maryland and joined the Williams Asset Management team to continue growing her career in financial services. While pursuing her Series 65 license, she supports trading and money movement operations and plays an important role in enhancing and formalizing processes within the Client Service Department. Alison is passionate about creating a positive client experience and helping WAM continue its commitment to serving clients with care, efficiency, and excellence.

When she is not working, Alison enjoys running and training for her next marathon, as well as spending time with her dog, friends, and family. She currently resides in Frederick with her Australian shepherd/border collie mix, Joaquin.
