Enriching Our Community

As community leaders, we feel we have a responsibility to not only enhance the lives of our clients, but to enrich the communities in which we live through volunteerism, civic engagement, and philanthropic initiatives. We actively seek opportunities to collaborate with local organizations and support causes that align with our values, striving to make a meaningful and lasting impact on those around us.

Supporting our Veterans and our Students

Williams Asset Management was honored to be the title sponsor of the 16th Annual Sgt. David J. Smith Memorial Fund Golf Tournament. This also marked our third consecutive year supporting this meaningful cause.

We are especially thankful for the courage, strength, and dedication of our military servicemembers for keeping us safe. It is a privilege to support veterans and their families through the Sgt. David J. Smith Veteran Relief Fund, which provides vital emergency financial assistance to local veterans in need.

Over the past year, this support has ranged from covering overdue rent and mortgage payments, to keeping the lights and heat on for elderly couples, to providing safe housing for those experiencing homelessness. In every case, the fund ensures that no veteran stands alone during a time of hardship.

Welcome Basket Drive

In partnership with Bridges to Housing Stability, Williams Asset Management hosted a month-long Welcome Basket Drive to support individuals and families transitioning into affordable housing in Howard County. These baskets were created to ease the burden for families who often move into new homes with little to no basic household items. Each basket is designed to provide comfort, functionality, and a warm welcome to those beginning a new chapter.

Thanks to the generosity of our clients, team members, and community, we collected and assembled over 190 new, unopened household essentials. From paper towels and cleaning supplies to kitchen tools and laundry detergent, the items were thoughtfully packed into laundry baskets, ready to be distributed by Bridges to the families they serve.

At Williams Asset Management, we believe in the importance of giving back and strengthening the communities where we live and work. We’re proud to support Bridges’ mission and are grateful to everyone who helped make this drive a success. Together, we helped turn houses into homes.

Winter Coat Drive

This past December, Williams Asset Management was thrilled to collect winter items for those in need. Thanks to the generosity of our clients and community, we were able to donate over 100 winter items, including coats, hats, scarves, and gloves.

We are proud to have collaborated with Grassroots, a local organization providing critical services such as emergency shelter, life skills training, and job readiness programs, to distribute these items to adults in need. Additionally, we partnered with Howard County Public Schools to ensure children in our community stay warm this winter.

Through these partnerships, we were able to help men, women, and children stay warm and supported during the colder months. We’re honored to play a small role in fostering warmth, stability, and hope for those in need.
